Selig Court- Golders Green
The independent living apartments at Selig Court are part of Jewish Care’s new flagship development, the Maurice and Vivienne Wohl Campus. The site will also house a community centre, a nursing and dementia care home and Jewish Care’s central offices.
There are 45 one and two bedroom apartments for rent over four floors. Each apartment has been designed to promote independence while at the same time offering peace of mind, with access to around-the-clock support.
The apartments are designed for people who need some support and are:
- Jewish
- Over 60
- Community-minded
Priority will be given to Holocaust survivors and refugees from Nazi persecution.
Facilities
There is a wide range of facilities including:
- Private terrace
- Communal garden
- Synagogue
- Grocery and gift shop
- Hairdressing salon
- Kosher restaurant, currently serving an evening meal (Monday – Friday) and lunch (Shabbat and Sunday). Here you can dine with family and friends (cost applies)
- Guest suite for visitors to use when staying over (bookable in advance, cost applies)
- Wide range of events and activities
- A choice of lounges for relaxation and entertainment
- Hobbies room, with computer facilities
- Secure entry system
- Car park
- Mobility scooter park
- Two lifts (one able to become a Shabbat lift)
- Laundry facilities
Supporting you
There may be times when you would like some help or support with day-to-day tasks. The support team can help in many ways, including:
- Shopping
- Housework and laundry
- Assistance with medication
- Advocating on your behalf
- Help arranging appointments or transport
- Advice and support when caring for a loved one
- Accompanying to social engagements and appointments

Additional support could include:- Giving you a break if you are caring for a loved one
- Personal care (help with bathing, dressing, eating)
- Meal preparation
- Help with getting up in the morning
- Help with getting ready for bed
- On-call care at night
- Pop-ins to check on wellbeing
- Medication prompting

Jewish lifeShabbat and the main festivals will be celebrated in the communal areas of Selig Court. All eating places on the campus are under kosher licence, though what you eat in your own apartment is entirely your choice.
