Jewish Care

There are two committees based in Ilford. Friends of Dennis Day Care, raising money for the day centre for older people with dementia and Vi & John Rubens fundraising committee, supporting the local residential home.

Vi & John Rubens fundraisng committee

This committee has been in existence for over 18 years and the common denominator for committee members is that they currently have or have had relatives reside in the home. They are therefore well aware of what it means to be a resident and what can be done to make a difference.

The committee welcomes moral support and needs your help with selling tickets, publicity and helping with catering at events. Each of these is equally important. By doing so much themselves, costs and expenses are kept to a minimum so they have more funds available to spend on our residents.

Friends of Dennis Day Care
This committee is relatively new but has held a few events including two supper quizzes and a show. Funds raised have gone directly to benefit members of the day centre and have paid for a stereo system, garden furniture and monthly entertainment, etc.
