Head of Business Development

Salary: £50,000 per annum
The Head of Business Development will play a pivotal role in shaping the overall development and implementation of Jewish Care’s long term vision and strategic direction. They will play an active role in developing and evaluating alternative options for Jewish Care’s future structure. Working closely with the Directorate team they will ensure that any future options maximise Jewish Care’s ability to preserve the service excellence and community development which is the core purpose of the organisation.
The Head of Business Development will lead on the implementation of robust business planning and development processes together with strong programme management. This will include both new services and opportunities and an on going process to improve the business focus of existing services, clinical and non-clinical. The head of business development will play a lead role in developing relationships that support Jewish Care’s business development aspirations.
The Head of Business Development will develop and implement Jewish Care’s commercial function. Taking lead responsibility for commercial business development for Jewish Care and ensuring that the organisation develops its services in response to the needs of clients, residents, its customers and the business environment. The Head of Business Development will develop business processes which enable the organisation to turn ideas into good opportunities that secure new business for Jewish Care.

Major Gifts Development Officer
Location: Colindale
Hours: 36.25
Salary: c£26,000 per annum
The purpose of this role is:
• To develop and use research to identify prospective major donors, new income streams and trends, to find potential new donors and to develop ways to encourage people to either re-engage with or continue giving to Jewish Care.
• To assist with key elements of the Major Gifts portfolio including the annual Campaign Dinner, Patrons Briefing, House of Lords Luncheon and any other new initiatives.
• To coordinate the fundraising, administration and communication of the Major Donors programme and other associated schemes.
• To coordinate the administrative procedures for the Major Gifts team including the thanking of all gifts in a timely and professional manner.
• To liaise effectively with all management and other members of staff, appropriate agencies, lay leaders, donors and volunteers.

Community Support Worker
Location: Colindale
Hours: 36.25
Salary: £19,393 per annum
The objectives of this post is to:
1. To advise the community of their rights to health and social care.
2. To support clients who are not eligible for statutory services.
3. To provide simple assessments, advocacy, advice and support for Jewish Care service users living in the community.
4. Signpost clients to the relevant health and social care agencies, and support them in accessing services.
