Young volunteers visit The Princess Alexandra Home

Date:  18 September 2007

Young volunteers from Haberdashers' Aske's Boys' School make their first visit to The Princess Alexandra Home.

Four pupils of Haberdashers' Aske's Boys' School made their first visit to Jewish Care's Princess Alexandra Home in Stanmore where they will volunteer on a regular basis. David Woolfman, 15, and Marcus Chaplin, David Joels and Nick Ottman, all aged 14, are pictured with care home resident Anne Tessler, aged 102. They were accompanied by their teacher, Jo Kingston (not pictured).

Their visit follows a talk given at the school by Jewish Care's volunteers manager, Pauline Gusack, as part of the school's Social and Community Service (SCS) programme.
