Social care coordinator Sharon Arad ran a honey cake-tasting session and made cakes with residents of Clore Manor in Hendon.

The home is currently in the spotlight as the work of Sharon and the rest of the staff team is the focus of Jewish Care’s Rosh Hashanah fundraising appeal.

Says Sharon: “Everyone loved tasting the honey cakes. Putting the traditional elements of Jewish life into our care makes Clore Manor special for the residents and helps to create a lovely atmosphere.” She is pictured with residents Renee Wallace, 92, and Helen Shenfield, who celebrated her 101st birthday the next day.”
