Osmond House is a residential home in north London that was initially opened for elderly victims of the Holocaust. Many still live there and they have priority when places become available.

The home was set up by the Otto Schieff Housing Association which offered care to victims of the Holocaust. It is now run by Jewish Care and is a warm, friendly home that treats all its residents with respect and dignity.

Care
Osmond House offers residential care for elderly people and nursing care for those who are suffering from dementia or Alzheimer's. Because of the history of its residents, none of the staff at Osmond House wears a uniform.

Facilities
The home has 49 bedrooms, all of which are ensuite. It has a dining room, living room and lift access to all areas.

A hairdresser visits Osmond House every Monday, and a doctor, dentist, chiropodist and optician also visit the home.

Activities
A full programme of activities is an important part of life at Osmond House. An activities coordinator arranges outings, theatre trips and visits for the residents as well as music performances, music and movement classes and card games.

Catering
All meals are Kosher and staff eat with the residents. The food at Osmond House has a noticably more eastern European flavour than in other Jewish Care homes, to suit the residents' taste.
